It has been a journey of self expansion. I usually don't like getting too much help from people, I want to prove to everyone that I can do it on my own. But now I know that doesn't really work. One has to be able to accept the help of others, if we were meant to do it all alone there would only be one human in the planet.
What's great is that the word is getting around and people who don't even know me are reaching out to get involved. How cool is that?! I had someone who was really inspired by the film call me from Texas yesterday and offer his help.
I've also been calling everyone I know to come to the BBQ.
One of my side gigs to make money is working as a promotional model. I was working this Monday at a golf tournament and met someone there who also wants to help. Not only that but I got free beer for the BBQ!!!
On another topic, I had a great meeting yesterday with an agency to represent me as an actress. I decided to just be myself. I wore a super cute dress and laughed and pitched my self effortlessly. I felt really great after because I know I wasn't trying to convince them, it was truly a meeting to see if we were a match. One of agents told me that I have a great career in front of me. And he doesn't' even know me. He said I was "fresh air" I liked that.
Things are moving, things are shaking. Today I got a lot to do to ensure this BBQ is a huge success. I hope to make enough money to shoot this film and then raise some more later for post.
I'm off to Trader Joe's to get some wine for sangria. Salud.
